Imagine taking a complex, high-precision component and confirming it meets every customer requirement before it ships. You verify measurements, validate certifications, and make sure operators have the information they need to correct issues fast. If you bring aerospace knowledge, even better.
Your mission
- Inspect parts for conformance using the right tools and methods aligned to customer specifications.
- Check that production documentation is complete and process shipments when all criteria are satisfied.
- Confirm material and process certification documentation meets customer requirements.
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming product.
- Ensure inspection methods and equipment are appropriate and effective; validate inspection intervals statistically.
- Communicate customer quality requirements clearly to machine operators and confirm understanding.
- Supply operators with data needed to correct nonconforming parts.
- Complete process paperwork and verify accuracy of all required certification documentation.
- Maintain compliance with the quality management system, AS9100D, and customer-specific requirements.
What you bring
GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5-2009.Hands-on use of inspection equipment including dial indicators, gage blocks, and micrometers.Brown and Sharpe Micro-Val CMM experience is a plus; CMM Manager software is a plus.Good computer skills, including office software; some drawing or CAD familiarity.Detail-oriented record keeping and organization; strong communication.Ability to assist with PPAPs, FAI reports, Gage R&R, and other quality tools.Good math skills and machine shop basics; familiarity with an AS9100 shop environment.Training, education, and experience
