$20,000\nThis is a fast-paced surgical unit with high patient turnover, making it an

exciting

environment to build and keep advanced clinical skills. Often considered the closest thing to a step-down unit in the med-surg world, our team manages a variety of

complex

post-operative needs, including chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, central lines, TPN, and advanced wound care.

This is the

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.\nImplement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.\nServe as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.\nNote and carry out physician and nursing orders.\nAssess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : \nBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nOne or more of the following required :

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education : \nDiploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of\nhire.
