  • ???? Position Summary

    • We are seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our D.C. clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to adults and / or adolescents within our outpatient or residential programs. This role involves direct clinical care, case coordination, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure client-centered, holistic treatment.

  • ???? Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-informed care).
  • Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and progress evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, nurses, and peer support staff to coordinate care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuing education to maintain best clinical practices.
  • Support program development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • ???? Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Active D.C. LICSW license (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in behavioral health, substance use, or trauma care.
  • Strong understanding of DSM-5 diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation standards.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and case management skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR / EMR) systems such as Welligent, Credible, or similar.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required.

  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use).
  • Prior work in community-based, residential, or outpatient programs.
  • Training or certification in trauma-informed care, EMDR, or motivational interviewing.
  • Understanding of D.C. Medicaid and insurance documentation requirements.
