Since there is NOT an in-house OB, so the nurses need to be very proficient with their assessment skills and be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.\n- May float to other units of hospital (usually MedSurg) if needed\n- Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care (they don't always utilize their LDRPs as couplet care beds, but can do so if census is low).\nAdditional helpful info : \n1.
