Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services of Bloomington is seeking an Executive Chef to join its Nutrition and Culinary Services team. The Executive Chef is responsible for creating high-quality meals and dining experience for customers by preparing and serving attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.
The Executive Chef reports to the Nutrition & Culinary Services Director and directly supervises Cooks / Chef positions.

Responsibilities
- Plan and direct meal preparation, production, and service based on established menus, regulations, and best practices.
- Ensure consistent quality, establish presentation techniques, and quality standards.
- Prepare and cook meals as needed.
- Participate in menu and recipe development and modification to meet quality standards.
- Solicit customer feedback and incorporate solutions regarding meal quality and satisfaction.
- Manage resource allocations, including meal costs and food waste, to achieve operational goals.
- Provide adequate staffing models that meet customer needs and financial goals.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Executive Chef position.Proven leadership skills.Graduate of a recognized culinary-based college or university degree program.Current MDH Food Manager Certification.High school or equivalent education.Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations (Serve Safe Certification).Ability to work with Microsoft and web-based business applications.Willingness to take a written and practical culinary test.Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $23.88 - $29.84 per hour.
