Executive Chef

Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services of Bloomington is seeking an Executive Chef to join its Nutrition and Culinary Services team. The Executive Chef is responsible for creating high-quality meals and dining experience for customers by preparing and serving attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.

The Executive Chef reports to the Nutrition & Culinary Services Director and directly supervises Cooks / Chef positions.

This community offers the following care options : Assisted Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care, Care Center / Long Term Care, Long Term Care with Memory Care, Transitional Care / Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct meal preparation, production, and service based on established menus, regulations, and best practices.
• Ensure consistent quality, establish presentation techniques, and quality standards.
• Prepare and cook meals as needed.
• Participate in menu and recipe development and modification to meet quality standards.
• Solicit customer feedback and incorporate solutions regarding meal quality and satisfaction.
• Manage resource allocations, including meal costs and food waste, to achieve operational goals.
• Provide adequate staffing models that meet customer needs and financial goals.

Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $23.88 - $29.84 per hour.
