Key Areas of Responsibility (Answerable for the following end results)
- Develops and establishes policies and objectives consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient operation of individual departments.
- Develop and Oversee implementation of Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery policies and procedures.
- Develop annual business continuity plan ensuring redundant capacity for off catastrophic variables.
- Manage corporate systems infrastructure operations, in tandem with Corporate Purchasing governance, which includes vendor selection, installation and configuration of new servers / systems, ensuring backup and recovery strategies, and purchasing hardware and software.
- Consults and coordinates with company officials on matters of policy, interdivisional interaction, and capital improvement issues related to Information Technology.
- Collaborates with departments and administration to establish goals and priorities for technology solutions to meet company needs.
- Develops departmental budget, plans, and recommendations for technology development and deployment at the company.
- Oversee IT aspect of any audits (IATF, ISO, SOC, Customer’s IT Risk / DR Assessments, Emotiv’s 3rd Party IT Security Assessment / PEN Test, etc)
- Submits IT costs for new business opportunities.
- Utilizes a servant leadership model while managing colleagues in the department while working to ensure personal development.
- Create an open environment for opinion and diversity of thought to cultivate the best possible solutions to opportunities presented by the business.
- Manages departmental operations, equipment, and colleagues through day to day activities.
- Manages IT equipment warranty plans.
- Manages the accounts and service contracts for all leased equipment.
- Manages wireless telecommunications accounts.
- Manages software licensing contracts and accounts.
- Maintains backups to disk and cloud.
- Manages VMWare environment.
- Manages IT Networking (WAN, LAN, Internet, switches, WAPs, and Firewalls).
- Evaluates new and innovative technologies to determine how these can benefit the organization.
- Recommends and participates in the development of company policies and procedures; may serve on company planning and policy-making committees.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and / or systems.
- Provides 2nd level support for all I.T. and telecommunications issues with corporate staff. Provides 3rd level support for all I.T. and telecommunications issues with plant staff.
- Conducts growth analysis and capacity planning and develops capital and operating budget recommendations.
- Documents all activities as required.
- Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
- Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
Limits of Authority
Advise Executive IT Director and top management of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, and employee safety or customer satisfaction results.Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems.Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, or system.Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.Initiate project RFQ’s with supporting documentation to be signed.Recommend hardware, software, tools, or other items to be used to improve support or operation of company computers and telecommunication infrastructure.Monitor and enhance security systems.Perform any necessary actions to ensure validity, security, and integrity of company owned computer systems and data.Basic Education, Experience and Skills Required
College Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years “hands–on” IT experience.Minimum 3 years management experience.Experience supporting and using Trans4m and / or Plex ERP.Experience with networking.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.Experience supporting virtualization platforms, specifically VMware vSphere.Experience supporting Linux operating systems, specifically ESX / ESXi server.Experience supporting SAN and enterprise hardware.Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory , and Group Policy.Able to maintain confidential information.Internal Training (Minimum Requirements)
