Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with COE management to review current and future capital projects
• Coordinate with support organizations (Facilities, Maintenance, IT, Safety, and Environmental) to ensure proper communications and coordination of capital and non-capital projects
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives with technical collaboration and equipment items to facilitate project implementations
• Maintain vendor and contractor relationships as necessary to assure the continued supportability of equipment procurement actions as well as budget planning efforts
• Oversee the installation of the purchased equipment to ensure that the equipment is installed properly
• Oversee the Final Acceptance Tests at Bell to ensure that the purchased equipment operates per the Performance Specification and is released to the end-user or the development engineer upon completion
• Resolve technical problems
• Direct activities of suppliers and contractors
• Manage project schedule and cost to budget
• Create functional technical equipment specifications, and guide suppliers through quotation, design, installation, and acceptance testing
• Plan, budget, acquire, install, train, and manage surplus of items within funding requirements
