POSITION SUMMARY :
A Virtual Construction Engineer is responsible for supporting project teams by executing the plan for virtual construction on projects and developing content to assist with project pursuits.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in the development of project specific plans for virtual construction
- Recommend new technologies and processes that could improve operations, projects or virtual construction related tasks
- Develop working relationships with other integrated service team leaders (safety, quality, preconstruction, high performance) to ensure streamlined and coordinated approach to supporting our projects
- Develop working relationships with designers, owners and trade partners
- Implement BIM processes and standards in collaboration with project teams
- Review, analyze, and coordinate models from architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Facilitate model-based MEP Coordination
- Run model-based clash detection and facilitate trade partner coordination meetings
- Ensure work as coordinated can be installed safely and meets quality standards
- Utilize reality capture data to develop content for projects and pursuits
- Create virtual reality and augmented reality experiences for project teams to assist in the communication, clarification, and coordination of project scope
- Assist project teams by developing and maintaining site logistics plans and visual schedules
- Ensure virtual construction plan is being executed properly on projects by making site visits as needed
- Provide innovative solutions to complex problems through the use of technology
- Align virtual construction related schedules with project schedules to ensure timely results
- Assist in the development and execution of the company's BIM related goals and initiatives
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
A bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics Technology or related fieldApproximately 0-5 years' experience preferred with a General Contractor in the field of constructionExperience with and knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and Autodesk NavisworksAbility to build and maintain strong working relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamDetail orientedPepper Construction is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
