Overview
Pay : $80,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
Relocation : Relocation is welcomed and relocation packages are available.
Note : This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at either the Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC office.
Note : The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of transportation hydraulic design experience, preferably with NCDOT projects.

Job Description
- Lead and support hydrology and hydraulic analysis for roadway and transportation projects
- Design stormwater management systems, ponds, and conveyance systems
- Perform erosion control and outfall analysis to ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Contribute to all aspects of roadway drainage design including culverts, bridges, ditches, BMPs, and watershed studies
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to confirm existing conditions
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic improvements for roadway and drainage projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sub-consultants, and permitting agencies
- Extract and analyze data from MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, HEC-RAS, and related tools
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets when assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplineProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMinimum of 5 years of hydraulic design experience, ideally with NCDOT projectsProficiency with MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, and HEC-RASWorking knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Drainage Studies and Hydraulic Design and FHWA Hydraulic Design ManualSoil erosion and sediment control design experienceFamiliarity with OpenRoads Designer and SUDA is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentMust be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)Why This Is a Great Opportunity
