Database Engineer

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire a Database Engineer to work closely with various teams within the organization. This role will partner with various engineering teams working on our database architecture throughout a diverse enterprise environment. This work includes designing, implementing, and maintaining various database systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining highly available MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database environments
• Assisting developers with query optimization, sustainability, and best practices
• Configuration tuning and optimization of databases in various environments across the organization
• Administration of database backups, recovery, redundancies, and scalability
• Database service account, user, and role management
• Work closely with web and application domain experts to design our database systems
