Responsibilities and Work Context
This position involves some exposure to unruly persons, environmental hazards, physical risks and adherence to the force continuum that will achieve the intended result, without causing injury or damage to property or personnel. The statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the position and shall not be considered inclusive of all work requirements that may be inherent in the position. The position involves shift-work and varying days off, subject to seniority bid, with hours based on campus needs. Weekend work will be required.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited law enforcement academy; no previous experience required. Certification / Licensure : State of New Mexico Certified Law Enforcement Officer, or eligibility for Certification by waiver.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
