Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost and economic models across compute, storage, and network platforms.
  • Design internal chargeback frameworks and strategic pricing structures.
  • Lead strategic business reviews with senior leadership to align infrastructure strategy with financial outcomes.
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations that guide trade-offs between performance, resilience, and cost.
  • Build frameworks for build-vs-buy evaluations and investment decision-making.
  • Partner with engineering to identify and drive cost-efficiency and optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct comparative analysis of private- vs. public-cloud infrastructure economics.
  • Champion process improvements, tooling enhancements, and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with cloud services and infrastructure platforms, including deep exposure to public cloud (AWS, GCP) and private / on-prem environments.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within a Finance team, with exposure to forecasting, fiscal planning, cost allocations, and core accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $203,300 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
