About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Must-Have :

Previous charge experience preferred

Experience with Epic charting system required

Experience with HMOs and Medicare regulations preferred

Description :

The role involves performing utilization review within an acute hospital setting.

The candidate must have experience in acute hospital admission criteria, appeals, and denials.

Strong knowledge of benefits eligibility and care coordination is essential.

The role requires familiarity with CMS guidelines, concurrent reviews, and continued stay reviews.

Review of medical necessity using evidence-based guidelines is crucial.

Experience with disability case management and discharge planning is also required.

The candidate should be proficient in utilizing InterQual criteria.

Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and OSHA regulations is necessary.

The position requires the ability to manage medical necessity and prior authorizations.

Travel experience is required; flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Must be willing to work every other weekend and commit to three of the five major holidays.

References will be required from previous supervisory roles within the past three years.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to float between facilities as needed.
