Job Description

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for the campus community. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible, and offer outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. This position involves driving responsibilities as you navigate the campus and respond to calls for service. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or behaviors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activities according to site procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and provide directions or information to individuals on site.
  • Work collaboratively with campus personnel and law enforcement as needed, maintaining professionalism at all times.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
