Modernistic is currently looking for an HR Generalist to join our rapidly growing team. This position will work out of our Troy office but serve all of our locations. The HR Generalist will oversee all HR functions across the state, lead recruiting efforts, and act as a recruiter when necessary. Responsibilities
Oversee benefit administration and serve as primary contact with benefit vendorsHandle employee issue resolution and provide guidance to leadership and staffEnsure OSHA and safety compliance across all six locationsMaintain OSHA logs, manage worker's comp claims, and FMLA leaveGather company records as needed for project bidsSet recruiting priorities, manage the recruiting budget, and act as recruiter when necessaryDevelop and implement HR processes, policies, and best practicesMaintain compliance with employee documentation and employment law requirementsPartner with leadership to drive talent retention and employee engagementSupport new hire onboarding and orientationTrack and analyze HR metrics to measure success and drive improvementRequirements
3+ years of HR management or generalist experience2+ years of experience in recruitingStrong knowledge of Michigan and federal employment lawsProven ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-drivenMust be able to pass a drug test & background checkValid Michigan driver's license and good driving record (some in-state travel required)Experience in the service industry is a plusKnowledge of cleaning and restoration industry is a plusHR certification (PHR / SPHR / SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) is a plusWe look forward to meeting you!
