job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 25 LDRP beds, 3 OB ER rooms, and 6 post-op / antepartum beds Typical patient populations include antepartum, laboring, and post-partum mothers, with a Level 3 NICU onsite for high-acuity cases Approximately 200 deliveries per month with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 1-2 depending on labor stage and acuity Night shifts are 12 hours, working every other weekend as needed Required to take 24 hours of call per 4-week schedule period Floating to the Mother Baby unit may be required Uses Epic EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and GE Corometrics monitors Provide care for antepartum, laboring, and post-partum mothers, with support for higher acuity cases Night shift team typically includes 6-8 RNs, 1-2 CNAs, and comprehensive in-house support including OB and Peds hospitalists, CRNAs, and RTs L&D RNs are responsible for lab draws with IV starts and may also perform phlebotomy if comfortable Scrubs are provided and all L&D staff are expected to change into hospital-provided navy blue scrubs onsite Hospital orientation (NEO) and unit orientation with a preceptor are provided based on experience Holiday coverage includes one summer and one winter holiday depending on shift Requests for time off must be approved by the manager Free parking is available on site Active WA or compact RN license Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required Current ACLS and NRP certifications required; ALSO certification preferred Proficient in IV starts, lab draws, vaginal exams, labor support, and fetal monitor strip interpretation Experience with Epic EMR preferred First-time travelers will not be considered High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
