Summary / Objective : Performs assigned, introductory engineering tasks for the design and preparation of plans and details and performs design calculations for projects. Works side-by-side with engineering professionals in a fast-paced, professional environment to apply knowledge and skills learned through a postsecondary civil engineering program.

Essential Functions

• Assists in developing design concepts, studies, and design options
• Performs basic analysis and design calculations under direct supervision
• Prepares the project deliverables including plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates using computer-aided engineering software
• Performs field investigations and construction administrative duties under direct supervision
• Provides support to engineering staff members as needed
• Assists in reviewing close-out documents as needed
