Crew Leader l - Streets & Drainage

Job Title

Under limited supervision, provides leadership and direction to subordinate crewmembers in the construction and maintenance of City streets and drainage systems. Participates in construction, repair and maintenance activities.

Minimum Training and Experience

Education : High school graduate or GED

Experience : Two (2) years experience in light to heavy equipment operation

Certifications :

CDL

Preferred :

• South Carolina pesticide applicator certification

Note :

• The City retains the right to determine equivalencies.
• Any certifications not possessed at hire, must be obtained before the employee is removed from probation in order to continue employment with the City.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically able to operate a dump truck, tractor, dresser-loader, backhoe, motor grader, carpentry tools, concrete tools, asphalt tools, and numerous other small tools. Must be able to exert in excess of one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and / or in excess of fifty pounds of force frequently, and / or in excess of twenty pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to lift and / or carry weights of ten to one hundred pounds.
