Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Pediatrics Float Pool position requiring an OK or compact license and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital float pool supporting pediatric units
  • Night shift schedule with holiday and weekend requirements
  • Cares for a variety of pediatric patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Twelve-hour shifts, three days per week
  • Provide competent, comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units
  • Document patient responses and changes in condition and assist with examinations and minor procedures
  • Administer medication, IV infusions, and blood products per physician orders
  • Interact with families to coordinate care planning and discharge education
  • Responsible for delegating tasks to support staff and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in Oklahoma or a multistate compact license (eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to diverse patient needs
  • No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
