Mechanical Engineer I

We’re looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer I to join a growing team, and help design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, civic, K-12, and infrastructure projects.

This role is designed for early-career engineers who want to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience with the guidance of seasoned engineering professionals, all while enjoying the freedom of a remote-first work environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Build technical skills while preparing for EIT and PE licensure
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to gain exposure to all phases of design
  • Contribute to the design of HVAC and plumbing systems under the mentorship of senior engineers
  • Assist with engineering drawings, specifications, load calculations, and reports
  • Learn best practices in sustainable design and energy efficiency strategies
  • Participate in construction site visits, respond to contractor questions, and provide support during construction administration

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
  • 2–5+ years of mechanical design or related engineering experience (internships / co-ops welcome)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or willingness to obtain soon
  • Familiarity with HVAC system design; plumbing exposure a plus
  • Basic proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD a plus
  • Communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Must reside in Minnesota to support local site visits and client interactions
