About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : 8 or 10-hour days

Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

License : RN License required

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have :

Large hospital experience with over 250 beds and level 1 trauma status

Experience working in an acute facility with 15 or more Operating Room suites

Experience with robotics, specifically DaVinci preferred

Strong experience in general and ENT procedures

Description :

The role involves circulating nurses responsible for documenting and caring for patients in the operative setting.

Primary duties include sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, and opening sterile supplies.

Positioning patients for surgical procedures and documenting within an electronic record is essential.

Utilizing and setting up operating room equipment as directed is a critical part of the job.

Equipment used in the department includes computerized charting similar to Epic systems, Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic equipment, arthroscopy equipment, and Stealth navigation for Neurosurgery cases.

Experience with Neuro and Orthopedic procedures and navigation is required.

Nurses in this role may need to rotate to the PM shift as required and will stay late as needed based on case scheduling.

Call expectations include one to two days a week and every three to four weekends.

Nurses may occasionally float to other departments if necessary.

The unit consists of 25 Operating Room suites, handling an average of 75 to 100 cases per day.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 1.

All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.

Scrub color will be provided in a specified shade.

Candidates must have a gap of six months since their last employment in the organization.

The cancellation policy allows for cancellations up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
