• Tuition Reimbursement Position Purpose : Exceptional opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support our vision and serve with us as a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our community. We seek exceptional individuals from a variety of backgrounds, because diversity makes us stronger. The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient / family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care. Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success. The PCA assists patient in completing ADLs including : Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection. They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements. The Intensive Care Unit at Chelsea is a six bed adult unit caring for patients that are critically ill medical-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring, invasive / non-invasive ventilation, and drips. Shifts Available : Day Shift - 7 : 00am-5 : 30pm Status Available : Part time, benefit eligible (40 hours per pay period - every two weeks) Required Qualifications Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• High school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 18 years of age.
