Overview
The Videographer & Content Creator at Velocity and its portfolio of brands is responsible for producing engaging short-form video content that drives growth across social and digital platforms, while also providing secondary support on long-form video productions and photography.
This role specializes in shooting and editing social-first video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms, ensuring a steady pipeline of quick-turn, trend-aware content. At the same time, the Videographer & Content Creator serves as a second videographer and photographer when larger campaigns, lifestyle shoots, or product videos require additional coverage.
This role works in close collaboration with the Social Media Manager to align content with platform strategy, while also partnering with the Videographer, Photographer, and broader marketing team to maintain brand consistency across all content.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Social-First Videography
Concept, storyboard, shoot, and edit short-form videos tailored for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms.
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments, b-roll, and lifestyle clips to fuel a steady content pipeline.
- Edit and color correct content for platform pacing and brand alignment.
- Work in partnership with the Social Media Manager to align content with trends, posting calendars, and audience insights.
- Monitor performance metrics (views, engagement, saves, shares) and recommend creative optimizations.
Secondary Long-Form Video and Photography Support
Contribute as a supporting videographer on long-form productions, including walkarounds, interviews, and lifestyle shoots.Assist with editing, audio mixing, and final delivery of larger-scale campaigns.Capture supplemental photography for social media, email, and campaigns when additional coverage is needed.Support the Photographer on studio or location shoots as assigned.Collaboration and Creative Development
Work closely with the Videographer, Photographer, Social Media Manager, and Creative Director to ensure content supports campaigns and maintains consistency.Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, pitching social-first content ideas that strengthen brand storytelling.Stay ahead of social platform trends, automotive content styles, and emerging creative formats.Maintain organized asset libraries to streamline content use across the marketing team.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

All video and photo content adheres to Velocitys brand standards for tone, aesthetics, and quality.Positive feedback from leadership and creative peers on execution.Low revision rates on delivered content, showing alignment with briefs.Production Support
Plays an integral role on long-form video shoots, capturing supporting footage that enhances final edits.Ability to provide full videography coverage during absences or scheduling conflicts, ensuring continuity of production.Timely delivery of supplemental photography and video assets when requested.Collaboration and Workflow
Work in partnership with the Social Media Manager to align content with posting calendars and audience insights.Strong teamwork with the Videographer, Photographer, and broader marketing team, reflected in campaign execution and peer feedback.Organized asset management, ensuring content is stored, tagged, and retrievable without delay.Innovation and Growth
Regular contribution of new creative ideas that align with emerging social trends.Documented experimentation with new formats, editing techniques, or storytelling approaches, with learnings shared across the team.Demonstrated ability to adapt content quickly for new or emerging platforms.Required Skills and Abilities
Strong expertise in videography : storyboarding, shooting, editing, audio, and color grading.Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.Confident using cameras, drones, gimbals, and audio gear.Working photography skills for supplemental coverage including lighting, composition, and editing.Strong understanding of social-first video pacing, formats, and optimization.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Valid drivers license and ability to travel for shoots.Education Background and Experience
Bachelors degree in film, media, marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Strong portfolio demonstrating both short-form social-first video and long-form videography; photography samples a plus.Experience in automotive, lifestyle, or premium / luxury brands is a plus.Physical Demands (To include but not limited to)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation for editing.Regular lifting and carrying of camera gear and equipment up to 25 lbs.Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions during shoots including heat, cold, and weather.Frequent use of hands for typing, camera operation, and editing.Travel as required for location shoots and events.Benefits Include
