About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

Proficiency in charting with Epic.

Knowledge of conscious sedation and cardiac monitoring.

Ability to assist physicians in procedures while practicing medical and surgical asepsis.

Description :

This role involves providing care specific to the endoscopy area and GI laboratory.

You will need to demonstrate knowledge in all areas of care relevant to endoscopy.

Assist physicians by performing procedures and ensuring patient safety.

The role includes monitoring patients during conscious sedation and identifying dysrhythmias.

You will administer medications while understanding pharmacology, drug interactions, and side effects.

Maintain a self-motivated approach to patient healthcare and ensure patient privacy.

The expected patient ratio is 1 nurse to 2 patients.

The facility sees approximately 30 patients per day for colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies.

There are two procedure rooms, three recovery bays, and two pre-op rooms available.

Interdisciplinary support is provided as needed for patient care.

Knowledge of using EMR and proficiency in a Windows environment is required.

Candidates must possess strong airway management skills and understanding of recovery from monitored anesthesia care sedation.

Skills in monitoring and obtaining 12 lead EKGs are necessary.
