Job Duties :

Telephones

Tasking

Triage

Pre-certifications

Medication Refills

Assistance with scheduling on occasion

Rooming patients

Obtaining and documenting patient vitals and histories.

Preparing patients for exams.

Assisting physician (provider) with exams and minor procedures

Injections

Stocking, monitoring and cleaning exam rooms / work area and patient waiting areas.

As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA / OSHA / BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings.

Various other duties as assigned / needed.

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory

Education :

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
