On Call Security Officer - $22.75

Sunstates Security is hiring an On Call Security Officer in Troutdale, OR. The pay range for these positions is $22.75 / hr., paid weekly .

Requirements :

  • Valid Oregon DPSST security license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays

General Requirements :

Successful applicants will have open, all shift and short notice availability, a current unarmed Oregon DPSST license, respond promptly to phone calls and text messages, be able to pass a criminal background check & drug screening, and possess a reliable means of transportation with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be able to travel across the city. Additionally, preference will be given to those who have a work history that includes :

  • One year of Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills including but not limited to conflict de-escalation.
  • Regularly standing or walking for extended periods of time and distance (70%+ of a shift)
  • Reliability regarding attendance, punctuality, uniform appearance and completion of company training.
  • Sound judgment & problem-solving techniques under pressure in a fast-paced noisy environment
  • Comprehension and communication of information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.
  • Completing tasks thoroughly with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional Report Writing Skills
  • A willingness to work independently, in all weather conditions, and on nights & weekends

    • A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Shift Supervisor must read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
