Description :

The Medical Care Unit is designed for patients who are less acute and may be awaiting placement to a long-term care facility.

Patients may present with a variety of medical diagnoses.

Nurses may need to float between multiple units, including inpatient rehabilitation for intense rehab services.

The role involves delivering care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

Nurses will coordinate care with other health team members.

The position requires effective interaction with patients and their significant others.

Maintaining high standards of professional nursing is essential.

The nurse will provide high-quality care to various patient populations, including geriatric, medical / surgical, adult, telemetry, and patients with psychiatric issues.

The position consists of 36 hours per week, totaling 72 hours per pay period.

Cerner experience is a requirement.

Weekend float requirements apply.
