Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a positive atmosphere for all employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and communicate clearly with team members, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and / or contractors while maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and addressing any access-related issues as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or medical incidents, in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
