In this role, you will be joining a team where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining ground station software.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain satellite ground software.

Support the writing of automated Cucumber / Gherkin tests

What You Will Learn

Proven, legacy software architecture and technology for complex satellite ground systems.

Reuse software baselines.

Software lifecycle practices on defense projects

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Experience with software development using C++ and Java.

Experience developing software in a Linux environment.

An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS / SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.  An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS / SCI security clearance is also acceptable.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with automated testing using Cucumber / Gherkin.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with Atlassian Tools.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
