Procurement Assistant Winter Park, FL

Onsite | MondayFriday, 7 : 30 AM4 : 30 PM | Contract-to-Hire

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join our team in Winter Park, Florida. This role is essential to ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly by coordinating the purchase of equipment, materials, and services. You'll work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to secure quality products at competitive priceson time, every time.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and optimal pricing
  • Manage communications regarding shipment discrepancies, delivery changes, and pricing updates
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve procurement-related issues
  • Support procurement strategies and identify alternative sourcing options
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions
  • Analyze vendor spend and assist in developing portfolio strategies
  • Contribute to vendor quality improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects
  • Evaluate the financial impact of inventory and payment terms
  • Lead supplier development programs as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education and / or relevant work experience
  • 35 years of procurement experience; construction industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment
  • Additional Skills :

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with strategic procurement processes, competitive bidding, and contract terms
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights
  • Work Environment :

    This role is based in a temperature-controlled trailer office onsite at one of our plants. You'll work alongside a small, experienced team including the Procurement Manager and another buyer. The environment is professional yet relaxedcasual attire like jeans is welcome. The team is well-tenured and offers a great opportunity for learning and growth.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
