Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside doctor and PA. Assist with keeping track of tests, labs, etc., to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office / EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures, handle prescriptions and prescription authorizations

Qualifications

• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior use of EMR is preferred
