Modeling and Simulation Developer

Torch Technologies is currently seeking an experienced modeling and simulation developer to help maintain the current suite of US ARMY Project Office supported simulations and provide analysis for government use. The candidate will support software development to meet customer needs and implement solutions for multiple execution environments. They will be part of a team developing, testing, and integrating modeling and simulation tools.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, with a proven record of developing robust software applications, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills. Experience in software development using high-level languages such as C++, Python, and familiarity with FORTRAN in a Linux environment is required. Experience with modeling hardware in real-time environments using multiple threads and interfacing with real-time interfaces is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited university
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in software development using C / C++ and Python
• Familiarity with and preferably experience with Qt4 and Qt5
• Familiarity with FORTRAN and PERL programming languages
• Experience with modern IDEs such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, or similar
• Experience with version control systems like Git or Subversion
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing engineering challenges and mission requirements
• US Citizenship is required
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. SECRET clearance is required for employment
