Job Opening : Electrical Apprentice – Solar Project

Location : Union City, PA

Start Date : October 20, 2025

Pay Rate : $38.86 / hour

Per Diem : $120 / day (for days worked)

⏱ Hours : 52 hours / week

Project Summary :

We’re hiring motivated Electrical Apprentices to support the full installation of a new solar farm in Union City, PA . This outdoor project involves hands-on experience with a growing solar team from start to finish.

Job Duties :

Assist with bending and installing electrical conduit

Support panel wiring, terminations, and fixture installations

Install underground conduit and support trenching crews

Work with both low voltage and high voltage systems

Operate hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters safely and efficiently

Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and assist with troubleshooting

Qualifications :

Must be enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program or willing to join the IEC — tuition fully covered for those continuing employment through Talent Corps

4+ years of experience in a solar or commercial electrical setting preferred

Familiarity with pipe bending, wire pulling, and grid connection support

Solid understanding of electrical systems and safety practices

Proficiency using voltmeters, hand tools, and power tools

Forklift and trenching experience is a plus, but not required

Local candidates (within 1 hour of Union City, PA) strongly preferred
