Medical Billing Specialist

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Medical Billing Specialist (WFH).

Key Responsibilities

Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately

Work with insurance companies and healthcare providers to process and follow up on claims

Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA

Required Qualifications

Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable

Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO / PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid

Familiarity with electronic and paper claim processing

Ability to handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA

Credentialing knowledge is a plus
