Plant Manager (Possible)

Job Summary

Reports To : Director of Maintenance and Facilities / Principal

Salary : Based on salary schedule for 235 days.

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Job Goal : To provide students and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, work, and develop.

Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Alabama driver's license.
• CDL certification is preferred.
• Two years of experience in either maintenance or custodial operations.
• Basic skills and safety knowledge in the areas of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, locks and doors, landscaping, and other trade skills.
• Must be able to perform light to heavy manual labor, use hand and power tools, operate custodial and cleaning equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must complete a criminal background check through the Alabama State Department of Education at your own expense.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
