Construction Assistant

We are currently seeking a Construction Assistant to work on our Mammoth Lakes, CA project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Superior ability to manage commitments- make requests, hold promises, gather assertions, provide assessments
- Create, maintain and enforce a safe jobsite environment
- Perform Subcontractor Safety Orientation
- Assist with laborers as needed (physical labor involved)
- Assist in production, maintenance and execution of project
- Assist with compliance of the budget
- Assist in supervision and coordination of construction activity, including those of trade contractors
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meet company quality standards and design requirements
- Review building plans
- Maintain SWPPP labor as needed
- Assist Superintendent with inspections and other physical tasks
- Install guardrails
- Adjusting side logistics as needed
- Assist with QC
- Track Equipment
- Assist with deliveries
- Enforce safety including installing, maintaining and repairing safety measures
- Enforce daily housekeeping / clean as needed
Qualifications :
Preferred experience in Multi-Family Unit ConstructionPreferred previous carpentry skills / experienceIn-depth knowledge of the construction industry and company operations, including construction specifications, construction plans, building materials, methods, and proceduresObtain or hold Forklift CertificationObtain or hold CPR - First Aid - OSHA 10 CardParticipate in related certification (CPR, Forklift, OSHA 10, 30)Ability to review and / or learn how to read building plans and schedulesAmbition to seek and learn Assistant Superintendent dutiesMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screenAbility to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 poundsAbility to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawlAbility to maintain balanceAbility to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate itemsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendanceAbility to safely and effectively perform the essential job functionMust hold a valid driver's licenseOur accomplished team and vertically integrated configuration has produced more than 200 successful multifamily, charter schools, and special-use projects throughout the western US, representing over $1.5 billion in asset value.
