$2,180 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2 years of experience required

License : State license can pend at the time of submission

Certifications :
  • RRT
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP

    • Must-Have :

    • Experience in NICU and Pediatric Critical Care
    • Comfort with high frequency jet ventilation
    • Trauma Level I experience

      • Description :

      This position is for a respiratory therapist specializing in NICU care.

      The average daily census is 6 to 10 vents.

      Candidates must have experience in both NICU and PICU settings.

      Successful applicants will float to adult units as needed.

      Weekend shifts may be required as per unit needs.

      Travelers are expected to work no more than three weekends in a row.

      COVID vaccination is required, with exemptions available upon proper documentation.

      Skills needed include endotracheal tube management, nasal airway placement, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care.

      Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in ABG interpretation and pulmonary hygiene.

      Please note that high pressure alarm troubleshooting experience is also necessary.

      It is essential that candidates possess a strong understanding of various respiratory treatments and equipment.
