Position Description and Purpose
The Licensing and Contracting Specialist is responsible for assisting new and existing advisors with proper licensing and facilitating contracts with different insurance carriers through Core Income Advisors. This position handles all aspects of an advisor’s contract including, but not limited to, handling insurance licenses, E&O insurance, direct deposit information, training requirements, contact information, and address changes.
Education, Experience and License Requirements
- Education : High School Diploma or GED, required
- Experience : Within financial services and / or insurance and annuities industry, preferred

Strong interpersonal skills and experience providing excellent customer service.Basic knowledge of office procedures and of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Organization skills to complete assignments accurately and with a high attention to detail.Communication skills to inform others and convey information effectivelyAbility to maintain records of work performed.Ability to understand and follow instructions.Ability to work both independently and to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.Proactive thinking to anticipate needs and prepare accordingly, as well as flexibility to adjust changing priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Job Duties and Responsibilities
Contracting Process Management :
Facilitate the contracting process for new financial advisors, ensuring all necessary documents are completed and submitted accurately.Review contracts to verify compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.Coordinate with insurance carriers and financial institutions to ensure contracts are processed in a timely manner.Licensing & Registration :
Manage the licensing and registration process for financial advisors, including the submission of applications, renewals, and amendments.Monitor and track the status of licenses and appointments, ensuring all advisors are properly licensed to sell financial products in their respective states.Ensure that advisors meet all continuing education and regulatory requirements for license maintenance.Compliance & Documentation :
Maintain detailed records of all contracting and licensing activities, including contracts, licenses, and correspondence.Ensure that all processes comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.Stay up-to-date with changes in licensing requirements, regulations, and industry best practices.Advisor Support :
Serve as the primary point of contact for financial advisors regarding contracting and licensing inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.Assist advisors in resolving any issues related to contracting, licensing, or appointments with insurance carriers.Provide ongoing support to advisors throughout the contracting and licensing process, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.Process Improvement :
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the contracting and licensing process.Collaborate with internal teams to implement process enhancements and ensure a smooth experience for advisors.Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials for advisors and internal staff.All other duties as assigned.Equipment, Tools, and Materials Used
