Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Evansville, IN 47713 Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (open to 16-26 week assignments) Start Date : October 13, 2025 Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) Previous Med / Surg nursing experience highly desired Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and clinical safety protocols Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team meetings and support patient rehabilitation programs Initiate and coordinate discharge planning and patient education from admission Accurately document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and contribute to team building and unit efficiency Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing nursing education Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse in Evansville, Indiana, and take the next step in your nursing career!
