Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Join a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Adult Hospitalists and provide up-to-date, evidence-based care to the community in beautiful central Maine with proximity to Portland, Maine.

About the position :

• Provide care for well-newborns, Level II NICU and delivery attendance, pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consults
• State-of-the-art facility
• 12 or 24-hour shifts available.
• In-house support from OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine and family medicine
• Pediatric subspecialty / NICU / PICU support available by phone
• Teaching responsibilities
• Average daily census of 4-6 patients
Who we are seeking :
• MD, DO
• Board certification or ABMS
• Must especially be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, and stabilization of critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer to a tertiary care center.
• Be Maine licensed or ability to obtain one
