Must-Have :

• 2 years of PACU and ICU experience
• No first-time travelers

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse specialized in post-anesthesia care.

Common cases include adult and pediatric patients in general, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, burn, gynecological, and ICU recovery.

Nurses will work with a charting system and will occasionally act as charge nurse, though this is a rare assignment.

Ratios will include assistance from nurse aides during normal business hours.

Respiratory therapy equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP will be used.

Nurses should be comfortable managing pressors, sedation, and vented patients.

ICU patients may recover in this unit if there is overflow, with ICU staff present for support.

Scrub color is dark blue or hospital-supplied scrubs.

There is a cancellation policy that allows for a certain number of shifts to be canceled during the assignment.

This role requires flexibility, as nurses will be first to float and take call every other week.
