Advanced Practice Provider-Hospitalist / Nocturnist

Job Description

Summary

Responsible for providing direct patient care and coordinating collaborative patient care during assigned shifts for acutely ill patients, including those patients of high acuity and those who are critically ill. Additional administrative duties will be assigned to support the success of the Hospital Medicine Service, including performance improvement activities and participation in CQI activities.\n\n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

\n\n

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Master of Science degree in Nursing with current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska required. Two (2) years of advanced practice experience in an acute care setting preferred. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.

OR

\n\n

Graduate degree from a Physicians Assistant program required. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant required. Completion of Bryan credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment. Two (2) years of advanced practice experience in an acute care setting preferred. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :

\n\n

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

\n\n

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Current NIHSS certification required.
