The School of Business Student Success Retention & Recruiting Coordinator operates out of the Undergraduate Student Services Office. This position is responsible for coordinating all recruiting initiatives for prospective undergraduate students considering the School of Business, and working on a team to support student retention, specifically supporting First-Time Full-Time Freshmen. This position will work with the Undergraduate Student Services Team to ensure positive student success outcomes.
The recruiting aspects of this job includes establishing partnerships with faculty and staff, hosting recruitment events, and collaborating with admissions and advising teams to ensure prospective students have the necessary information. The coordinator also leverages data to assess the effectiveness of these recruitment efforts and works to build relationships with counselors at local high schools and community colleges.
The retention aspects of the position include continuously improving efforts to retain first-year students by identifying and supporting at-risk students and connecting them with campus resources. This involves providing front-line support and advising, engaging in proactive outreach to the first-year student cohort, and collaborating with the broader student success team to ensure positive student success outcomes. The role also supports the Summer Business Institute, coordinates community engagement events, and actively participates in the Undergraduate Student Success team to achieve cross-functional goals. This work is guided by best practices in equity and inclusion to address institutional barriers and systemic inequities.
This is a 12-month position. This position reports to the Director of Student Success in the School of Business.
