Commercial Electrical Project Manager
Hammans Electric specializes in Commercial Electrical Services and is located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana. We are searching for a Commercial Electrical Project Manager to join our Hammans Electric and Swift Air Mechanical growing teams!
The Commercial Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of electrical projects, from design to completion, ensuring they are finished on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Key responsibilities include creating project plans, managing resources and staff, coordinating with engineers and contractors, monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes. The goal is to deliver successful electrical projects while meeting client needs and company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage detailed project plans, submittals, including scope, RFIs, schedules, and workflows, to guide the project from initiation to final delivery.
- Oversee project budgets, allocate resources effectively, manage supplies, and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Lead and manage project teams, including electricians, engineers, and subcontractors, and communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that all electrical work adheres to industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes and permits.
- Conduct job site walks to assess project progress, review findings with the estimating team, and address any safety concerns.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize potential issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.
- Monitor project costs to stay within budget.
- Propose, review, and approve modifications to project plans.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle to ensure project success.
- Manage the final stages of the project, including as-built drawings , project documentation and client handoff & warranty, to ensure timely and successful closure.
- Close out projects by reviewing and organizing financial statements, contracts, and other documents.
Skills and Qualifications :
A professional background in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field is preferred with experience in electrical estimating or contractingDesired 5+ years in Electrical Project ManagementKnowledge of ServicetitanExtensive knowledge and mastering of all Foreman competencies requiredThorough knowledge of industry guidelines, installation procedures, and specificationsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentsExtensive knowledge of all types of tools, equipment, materials, and resourcesPossess strong skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to determine project profitabilityExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal team membersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous organizational skills are needed to manage multiple projects and complex dataThe ability to work both indoors and outdoors, includes exposure to weather elements and climbing laddersAbility to interpret and apply company policies and proceduresPossess a valid drivers license and an acceptable motor vehicle recordAbility to pass a pre-employment background check
