Environmental Consultant (Houston)

EDGE Engineering and Science is seeking a motivated Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Compliance and Liabilities Management (CLM) Team at our Houston, Texas office. In this role, you will support clients in the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, and Manufacturing industries. The position offers a dynamic mix of office and fieldwork and is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated individual.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee the full federal and state-specific compliance reporting lifecycle for multiple clients simultaneously, including EPCRA Tier II reports, TRI Form A and Form R submissions, Annual and Biennial Waste reports, and various reports related to Stormwater, Wastewater, and Pollution Prevention programs.
• Conduct and oversee environmental compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and compliance strategies for clients.
• Develop and update operational plans, including Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3), Waste Management Plans, and Pollution Prevention Plans
• Perform regulatory research, prepare technical documents, and efficiently collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of client data to support compliance deliverables.
• Responsible for operating within established project expectations, including managing and adhering to project quality standards, budgets, schedules, and specific scopes of work.
• Draft proposals and scopes of work for clients.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior staff members to foster their professional growth and career development
• Contribute to business development activities, including client relationship management and support for the expansion of the client base.
