Summary : The purpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit.

This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.

Work Hours : This position will be expected to work a designated schedule established by the Department Head.

Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Gradall, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks Dump Trucks and / or other equipment.

Collaborates with and assists construction crews when necessary and required.

Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials.

Education / Experience : High School Diploma or GED. Requires one year of equipment operation experience or closely related experience

Certifications / Licenses : Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required. Endorsements preferred, but not required.
