We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This short-term contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations by managing billing, collections, and cash application processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable and demonstrate precision in handling daily cash activities.

Responsibilities :

Process and reconcile daily cash receipts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including electronic billing and check processing.

Oversee cash applications to ensure proper allocation and recordkeeping.

Handle commercial collections efficiently while maintaining strong and effective relationships with clients.

Prepare and issue accurate invoices and ensure timely billing functions.

Monitor and track cash activity to maintain updated financial records.

Address discrepancies and resolve payment issues promptly.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and payment processes.

Generate reports and provide insights on accounts receivable performance.

Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in cash applications and electronic billing systems.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections processes.

Familiarity with check processing and daily cash activity management.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to resolve payment discrepancies effectively.

Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
