Job Summary and Responsibilities

As the Lead Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in the nursing team, providing compassionate care that significantly impacts our patients' lives. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Performing all essential duties associated with the Patient Care Tech role.
  • Participating in the hiring process by engaging in peer interviews.
  • Assisting with developing orientation materials and training new staff.
  • Serving as a positive role model and a go-to resource for your peers.
  • Meeting with new hires during hospital-wide orientation and precepting them according to unit expectations.
  • Communicating updates on policies, procedures, and equipment to all Patient Care Techs promptly.
  • Leading by example and demonstrating exemplary patient care that earns positive feedback from both patients and staff.

    • Qualifications Needed

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.
  • CNA, LNA, or EMT / Military Medic training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience at an HCA facility is preferred.
