Overview

Long Island based coffee supplier, looking for a motivated individual who is : 1) An experienced coffee / espresso equipment technician. 2) A trainee for coffee / espresso equipment repair with mechanical skills and understanding of electrical and plumbing to work on coffee related machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and calibrate coffee and espresso equipment including brewing, grinding and dispensing systems for customers in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
  • Support new equipment installation as well as periodic preventive maintenance on existing coffee and espresso equipment.
  • Maintain customer relationships in assigned territories through on-time service and professional representation.
  • Document work efficiently and inform customers of the conducted service.
  • Perform field service and in-shop repair work, including troubleshooting on-site repair, installation and calibration of equipment, and occasional deliveries, all utilizing a company provided vehicle.
  • Training will be provided on the specific equipment encountered in the field; all necessary tools will be provided.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mechanical experience necessary with any of the following : coffee equipment / appliances, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, boilers or a technical career school.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; electrical / mechanical and troubleshooting experience.
  • Highly motivated and self-starter; able to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities.
  • Provide a high level of quality customer service; strong written and verbal communication skills are helpful.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds; valid and clean driver's license and own means of getting to work.
  • Knowledge of the Long Island area geographically is a plus; bilingual is beneficial.
  • Must be able to read / write / speak English and be legally eligible to work.
  • Prior experience repairing and servicing coffee equipment including Bunn, Curtis, & Grindmaster is highly preferred but not required.

    • Compensation & Benefits

    Salary : $20-$28 per hour (depending on experience)
