About The Position

Must-Have :

• Strong, independent experienced nurses
• Ability to float to multiple ICUs

Description :

Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, Client, Medicine, and COVID.

Nurses must be strong and independent.

Floating to inpatient floors is required when there are no ICU needs.

Staff nurses on inpatient floors will have a maximum ratio of 1 : 3.

ICU ratios are 2 : 1 for all shifts.

Floating to non-critical care units is possible if the census is low in the ICU.

Nurses may also be asked to work as patient sitters if needed.

Every other weekend availability is required.

No specific CVICU experience is required.

Preferred skills include floating to multiple ICUs and experience with patients in various critical conditions.

Chemo, CCRN, NIH, ONS, and TNCC certifications are preferred.

Experience with vents, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation is required.

Triage, ICP, PA line experience is preferred.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Candidates will float within hospitals or to affiliate hospitals nearby.

Adolescents are rare but may include adults aged 16-18.

Travelers must meet specific compliance and background requirements.
